5,000-year-old bone, thought to be from Mi’kmaw woman living on P.E.I., called historic find

A jawbone fragment found on P.E.I.’s North Shore has been identified as coming from a Mi’kmaw woman living in the region 5,000 years ago. Out of respect, L’nuey is not sharing photos of the bone, but the Indigenous organization says it’s an exciting connection for the Mi’kmaw community.
